BOOK NOWJoin us for an all-inclusive AIARE 1 (avalanche certification) retreat in beautiful Mammoth Lakes, California! Curated and hosted by Chanelle Sladics and Kjersti Buaas. World-class professional snowboarders. This experience have been carefully curated for you as a woman to empower yourself in the mountains. Prepare for this week to be about growth, knowledge, education and fun. We will explore the backcountry terrains of Mammoth with a band of international soul sisters. The AVI 1 course is guided by professional Sierra Mountain Guides, so you can feel safe as you learn to assess risk and understand the dangers that come with exposing yourself to the backcountry. The AIARE 1 is a decision making course for backcountry travelers wanting to learn to manage their personal and group risk and conduct the most effective companion rescue possible in the event of an accident. We will also ride and play on the slopes of Mammoth Mountain resort, sharpening are riding skillsets and having a blast, guided by Kjersti and Chanelle. When we are not shredding or learning about the backcountry we make sure there is plenty of time for you to turn your focus inward, rest and restore your spirit. Through daily breathwork, yoga movement and meditation you will learn to turn off your mind and use your breath as a tool for healing and grounding. At this retreat you can be sure to experience a solid mix of both Yin and Yang energy. This retreat is designed for those wanting to be safer in the backcountry, seeking a mix of adventure while diving deeper into your meditation practice. Expect to breathe deep with your new soul sisters from around the world and improve your mountain touring skills with inspiring guides and hosts. We interweave PRSNT mindfulness exercises on and off the mountain, in hopes you will find new creative ways to be more PRSNT in your daily life at home. *Ski/Snowboard Touring Level: Must bring your own gear and basic knowledge on how to ski/snowboard tour. Mammoth does have splitboards and ski rentals if you need to rent. Intermediate fitness level to keep the group moving and grooving together on hill. Resort Riding Level: Can ride the mountain with speed and confidently navigate cat tracks.
We were attracted to each other for the many passions we share, like outdoor adventures, healthy living, creating community, and an urge to protect our natural playgrounds.
We will always strive to make adjustments to optimize the experience based on weather and conditions. Every day we incorporate breathwork and PRSNT minded practices...Here is our Activity Schedule for the week. Click NEXT to see all days

SUGGESTIONS FOR TRAVEL: Option 1: Fly to Bishop Airport. Flights from LAX or San Fransisco. From here you can take a shuttle to get to Mammoth Village. Flight carriers: United Airlines Option 2: Fly to Los Angeles (LAX) or and rent a car or take a shuttle (approx. 5 hours). We personally love this drive, you move out of the city, through the desert, past Mt. Whitney and into the Sierras! The contrast is enjoyable. Option 3: Fly into Reno (shuttle is approx. 3 hours) Option 4: Fly to San Francisco (approx. 6 hours to Mammoth)

From Mammoth Airport take a shuttle or rent a car. Car Pool with other retreaters is always best. From LAX you can take a shuttle or rent a car
