International Travel: For all three options you will first book your airfare to Oslo (OSL)
- Option 1: Fly from Oslo to Harstad (EVE). Approx. 1,5 hours flight. Here you can pick up your rental car from Hertz and drive 2.5 hours to the Lofoten Ski Lodge. Flight carriers: Norwegian and SAS.
- Option 2: Fly directly Oslo (OSL) to Svolvaer (SJV). All these flights go through Bodø. This is the smoothest and nicest way to travel to Lofoten if you’re willing to spend a little extra money. Flight carriers: Widerøe and SAS.
- Option 3: Fly from Oslo (OSL) to Bodø (BOD). Approx. 1,5 hours flight. From Bodø to Svolvær you can choose between the public ferry «Hurtigbåten» or you can take the coastal steamer «Hurtigruten». Hurtigbåten leaves regularly at 5pm and the Hurtigruten leaves at 3pm. (double check the schedule for your day of departure) Flight carriers: Norwegian and SAS
*** If you’re traveling domestically in Norway you can find cheap flights from many airports across the country to link up with any of the traveling options listed above.
